Here is the virtual conference field trip! Lauri Gröhn produces computer music. SYNESTESIA Open Source Java code generates music from any pictures. It can also be applied to handwriting. Lauri prepared this for the conference. He has taken two handwriting samples and used the same set of parameters for each to generate music. You can just listen to the music or for the more curious you could try to guess the pairs belonging together.
