Field Trip!

Here is the virtual conference field trip! This year come on a voyage to the future! Come with me to the web site of a provider of email.

I, like you, use email because it is fast, cheap and simple. But I miss the personal touch of a handwritten note. I miss the speed of production, the personalisation. Is handwriting finished because of computers?

Perhaps Handwritten Email will change this perception... Handwritten email is offered by riteMail. It feels like both email and handwriting. You write your messages in a Web browser. This makes riteMail a bit like Web-based email. "You do not have to use any special software. All the tools you need are right there, easy to use. You do not have to save, convert, optimize and attach pictures to emails. You insert a recipient and a subject, and if you press the Send button, your message is delivered." "The recipient can reply directly, with your original message included. This is one of the best aspects of email, and it is available with handwritten email, too."

A choice of writing instruments are available: the mouse or a special pen.  Consider how hard it is to write with a mouse, imagine the ease of producing "normal" pens. Imagine the graphological possibilities. I reckon the keyboard will be dead by 2010...what do you think?

Try sending a message to yourself.. spend some time at the site. See a demo by visiting http://www.ritemail.net
